The National YMCA and the IMPACT conference organizers are opening up their doors for Alternative
Spring Break groups to come to Little Rock! The IMPACT Conference will take place March 19-21st, 2010 at the Clinton School for Public Policy, in Little Rock, Arkansas! Alternative break groups can plan to have the conference either serve as the culminating event of or the introduction to a powerful week of direct service.
There are some great non-profits in Little Rock and of course plenty of social justice issues and service opportunities! The IMPACT conference organizers are working on providing a list of potential community partners for break groups to contact. Break Away–the national organization which supports quality
alternative breaks – has provided the following community partner contacts in Little Rock:

Free Housing through the YMCA!
The Little Rock YMCA is providing free housing to the first 8-10 Alternative Break groups each week who have set up their service around the dates of the IMPACT Conference and are in need of a place to stay.
