The IMPACT Conference brings together college students, non-profit professionals, social entrepreneurs, campus administrators, and teams of service members to share experiences, stories, and resources in their work for social change. Keynote speakers are the anchor for any conference. At IMPACT, we seek speakers who are involved with service, action, and advocacy on topical social issues; who represent diverse perspectives and identities that reflect our audience; and who weave a narrative that allow IMPACT attendees to envision the future of their community work.
Keynote speakers usually speak or present for 45 minutes, and then transition to 20 minutes for a question and answer session. The Q&A often revolves around issues, challenges, and advice of pursuing work focused on equity and justice.
Keynotes in the past have touched upon their personal stories and cultural background, scholarship that arose from their work, powerful stories that shaped their perspectives, their personal motivation to serve, and their vocational journey that led them to work within the broader civic engagement and social justice field. For keynote speakers, we are able to provide cover the cost of travel, lodging, meal expenses, and conference registration. We also are able to provide a modest honorarium.
If you are interested in submitting a proposal to speak at the IMPACT conference, please email speakers@impactconference.org. Please note that we are looking for proposals that speak specifically to service, action, and advocacy and address a largely college-student audience.
